Gold and silver snowflakes with Neat and Tangled

Hi Everyone,

Are you getting ready for Christmas?! It's been super hectic in my household recently, but we're slowly starting to get the hang of "normal" life again, and the Christmas preparations are also going more less to plan... I managed to post out all of the packets and cards I meant to send (well... I had to cut a few lists shorter, but hey - we can always at least try our best, right?), and now I'm getting ready for another card marathon - I have LOADS of family birthdays coming in the next few weeks. It will be a nice break from all the Christmas cards, however :o)

Today I am sharing two cards with you, both inspired by the current Little Tangles silver & gold challenge. They are beautiful and super sparkly in person, but for the life of me I couldn't get good photos of them - I think I took over 60 pictures in different light, settings, rooms, etc... Nothing really worked... So you're simply going to have to take my word for it!

Both of them are very similar, the colours are simply reversed, and the embellishments differ slightly. The snowflakes were cut from glitter paper & I used the inlay diecutting technique to put them on the panels. The sentiments, as well as all of the matting around the panels, were heat embossed with gold and silver powder, respectively.

I have to say, I had lots of fun making these, and I was super proud with how they turned out - it's a real pity that the photos don't do them justice.

I hope you like them anyway!

Even a little Santa/gnome came to help me with the photos - to no better results! ;o)

I am entering these into the following challenges:
Little Tangles - Silver and Gold
SSS Wednesday Challenge - Ice Inspiration
SSS Monday Challenge - Let there be snow
SSS Work it Wednesday - Use dies

I'm going to try posting more of my Christmas cards here in the coming days. If you want to see them all, pop over to my Instagram account, I'll surely post more there!

Have a great day,

Mirella

  2. I love them - such a gorgeous combination of colours, but for some reason you can never get a decent picture of sparkle. I'm impressed you did all that die cutting and put the little bits all back in the right way. They look lovely! Christmas wishes to you all in Finland! Xx

    1. Thanks Ruth! I love fiddly little work on cards, so doing these inlays was just so much fun! :-)
