Christmas in May :-)

Hi Everyone,

It's almost weekend, how exciting! For those of you who will have a long Bank Holiday weekend - enjoy!

Today I am sharing my first Christmas card of this year. Divas by Design have an Anything  goes with Magnolias challenge for you this week, and I have decided to use one of the stamps I own for Christmas purposes. I have previously used the same stamp for birthdays  & other occasions - very cool to have such versatile stamps! :-)

The card for now is very CAS-like, I might add bits and pieces to it closer to Christmas, when I decide who the recipient is going to be... It might as well stay that way, I like simple designs... Time will tell!

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Inky Impressions -  Anything goes
Love to create - Cute with punches & Dies
QKR - Clean & Simple
Tilda's town - Use your stash
Stamp and create with Magnolia - CAS

I hope you like it!

Have a good evening,
M.

Live Love Laugh

Hello Everyone,

I am terribly sorry that the post about my this week's Divas by Design DT project is only going live now, but I have been away for a while, and didn't get the chance to write it before leaving! I hope that you have joined our Anything but a card challenge already, but if you haven't - you still have a chance until tomorrow night, so get your supplies out and give it a go!

I had loads of fun creating this little framed picture for my Friend. I hope she likes it, and that she's going to hang it on the walls of her new home! The frame comes from Ikea and it's brilliant for this kind of projects! I am definitely going to make more of these (and might even keep some, haha!). I attached a card with a personal note on the back on the frame - that way she can hang the picture on the wall, but will never lose the note from me :-)

I have used some lovely new stamps that I have recently purchased (a honeycomb one for the background, stems for the flowers from a new set I got a few weeks ago, and also the little alphabet is rather new!), my favourite Martha Stewart butterfly punches, and played with the Silhouette a bit to get the flowers in different sizes... I guess it's not a bad result for the first attempt :) Oh, and the little banners were hand cut. I wanted the picture to have a bit of dimension here and there, and to have some elements go onto the white background - I think it adds to the whole project.

Have a look and let me know what you think!

The little rolled flowers have pearls in the center.

Haha, I still had my little Easter chicks on the shelf next to the table, and I thought it would be fun to have them in one of the photos :-)

I am entering the framed picture into the following challenges:
Scrapki Wyzwaniowo - Three or more stamps
QKR Stampede - Punch or Dies
Inky Impressions - Flower Power
Moving along with the times - Heard it on the radio - "Wiosna" ("Spring") on the Polish radio. You can listen to it here, very catchy even if you don't understand Polish! ;-)
A Gem of a challenge - Favourite Colour Combo - love to use lively colour combos like pinks, greens and blues

Have a great week,

M.
