Spring is in the air! Again! Will it stay!?

Hello Everyone,

Happy weekend! Spring has finally decided to come back to Ireland, and I really do hope that this time it will want to stay at least for a while longer :o) The world is so much nicer in sunshine, when the temperatures start rising, and some flowers shyly start showing their colourful faces here and there!

Today's card is quite a springy one - mostly greens and blues, and - of course - flowers! A simple card, but I like it, and hope that so will you!

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
QKR Stampede - Bring on the green
Inky Chicks - Flowers

The flower stamp came with a crafty magazine, and I created the little scene using it - I heat embossed the flowers stamped a few times, and then used Distressed Inks to create the background. Some patterned paper, a bit of bling here and there & a sentiment later - voila, the card was ready!

Now let's enjoy the spring!

Is it spring yet...?!

Hi Everyone,

Is it spring yet, wherever you are...?! I guess it is here in Ireland - one moment you have a lovely sunny morning, a few moments later it's snowing, haha! I guess that's only typical for spring :o) I have lovely crocuses and daffodils in the garden already - currently slightly covered in snow, but I am sure it'll be gone soon, as it's all sunny and warm again!

Today I am sharing with you a kind of spring-like card, featuring the lovely Simon Says Stamp FRESH DAISIES die. I decided to play a little with different mediums - I used Gelatos for the background, with some recently acquired frantage on top of it. I cut the layers with my favourite Femme Frames from Mama Elephant, and - when putting all the die-cuts together, ended up with 2 cards, both fantastically flat (great for mailing!) and versatile.

Kept them pretty simple, although the whole making process was a bit messy and complex - but I think it was worth it! :o) Now I can just add a name/sentiment and voila - the cards will be ready for their recipients!

I am entering the cards into the following challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge: Clean and simple
Inky Impressions: One layer card
Inky Chicks: Flowers

Hope you like them! Which one do you prefer? My hubby likes the first one most, I prefer the second one...

Hugs,
M.
