Hi Everyone,
I have to admit - since I busted out the Altenew "Beautiful Day" stampset, I don't seem to be able to put it away! It's just so pretty and so versatile - goes with practically any occasion! It just so happens that I needed a wedding card, and I decided that the floral images would be perfect for it!
I opted for a bit of an unusual (for me) colour combination - cream, navy and gold, and I am rather pleased with the end result - I think it looks really elegant. At the very end, I also added some Wink of Stella on the navy flower & the leaf, but I didn't manage to capture it in a photo anymore - however, I'm sure that you can all imagine the glittery shine! :o)
The layout of the card was inspired by the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge - I slightly flipped the sketch, but it still resembles it pretty well, I believe.
And here is the finished card, together with a matching envelope. I also decorated the inside with the stamps from the stampset.
Have a great week,
Mirella
The blue and gold is such a stunning combination and I agree with you that the stamp set is just amazing. It's so great that you're getting more out of your stamps than the usual one use mine seem to get! Great to see you creating in your new space :) xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Ruth! My craftroom is still very much neglected due to travelling etc but when at home, I'm doing my best to find a moment for my beloved hobby!

Mirella, what a stunning looking card, the link photo doesn't do it justice. Stunning and elegant, love the gold embossing on the navy cardstock and that wonderful embossed front of the card. Thank you so much for coming and participating in The Flower Challenge. xx Aileen DT
