Texture

Hello Everyone,

This week's post is a little bit late, but unfortunately I have still been quite unwell over the last few days, and I had to take a break from a few routine activities.

Today's project has been created for the Texture challenge over at Divas by Design. Our sponsor is Magnolalicious, and so most of the Design Team have used Magnolia stamps.

I decided to take the opportunity and make a Christmas card, seeing that Christmas is fast approaching (way too fast!), and I am not ready for it at all yet, at least card-wise :o) Well, at least now I have one extra card to mail!

The card is rather simple and flat enough for posting. With a bit of bling/glitter, of course! I also used the Mama Elephant Femme Frames on it - love these! The stamp with the greeting is my recent second-hand purchase - the person who sold it to me didn't keep the original packaging, so I am not sure what set the stamp is from, however I have to say - I think it's really beautiful, and I will surely use it on a few more cards this year, be that on the front or inside.

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
I Love Promarkers - Snowflakes
Inky Chicks - Christmas
Tilda's Town - Use your Christmas stash

How are you getting on with Christmas cards? All ready, or will you be making a lot of last minute cards, like I usually do? ;o)

Sending you hugs - a circle easel card

Hi Everyone,

Time flies, doesn't it? Yet again it's my turn to make a card for the Divas by Design challenge blog :-) This week we're looking for Magnolias again, "Anything Magnolia". What a fun challenge, right!?

Since I have been making a lot of square cards recently, I decided to make something a little bit different, and ended up with a circle easel card. A scalloped circle one, even, I went mad - what the heck! Since the weather outside was rather springy, I added some butterflies and flowers.

And speaking of going mad, I also have a little confession to make - I have recently purchased a Wink of Stella glitter brush pen, and boy, I am ADDICTED! I think I have used it on EVERYTHING I have recently made... If you were wondering whether to get it or not (I got the clear one for now, since it's probably the most versatile one) - don't wonder anymore, just get one! :-)

Here's the card, I hope you like it:

Closed card

 And open

A little close-up - can you see the delicate glitter effect?

And another shot :-) The clothes are paper-pieced, by the way

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Inky Chicks - Special shape
Love to create - make it for the kids
Tilda's Town - Fussy and fancy
Stamp and create with Magnolia - Fancy folds
Inky Impressions - for the girls

I hope you come and join us over at Divas!

Christmas in May :-)

Hi Everyone,

It's almost weekend, how exciting! For those of you who will have a long Bank Holiday weekend - enjoy!

Today I am sharing my first Christmas card of this year. Divas by Design have an Anything  goes with Magnolias challenge for you this week, and I have decided to use one of the stamps I own for Christmas purposes. I have previously used the same stamp for birthdays  & other occasions - very cool to have such versatile stamps! :-)

The card for now is very CAS-like, I might add bits and pieces to it closer to Christmas, when I decide who the recipient is going to be... It might as well stay that way, I like simple designs... Time will tell!

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Inky Impressions -  Anything goes
Love to create - Cute with punches & Dies
QKR - Clean & Simple
Tilda's town - Use your stash
Stamp and create with Magnolia - CAS

I hope you like it!

Have a good evening,
M.
