First Christmas cards of 2017

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing with you my first Christmas cards of 2017 - these were also my last projects I made for Mudra Craft Stamps. Sadly, my current term with them had to end for now, due to cost & logistics issues (I always said Finnish post is very expensive, in and out!) - I do hope, however, that our paths will cross again!

Spotlight Technique using Mudra stencils and stamps

Hi Everyone,

I have been missing in action for a bit longer than planned, and I'm afraid that it will still be quiet here for another week or two, but I'll be back, I promise ;o)

Today I'm just sharing a quick post to advise you that it's my turn over at Mudra Craft Stamps again, and this month we're featuring the Spotlight Technique --> again, it's a new one for me, but I had a lot of fun exploring the different available options. 

For those of you who missed it, here is a card I made at the beginning of the month, showcasing the spotlight with a die-cut sentiment.

Triple Time Stamping with Mudra Craft Stamps

Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry I have been quiet for a while now - I am afraid I needed a bit of a break from social media. I didn't take a complete break from crafting, but I didn't craft an awful lot either. I am going to be away for the whole month of July, so it'll be another small hiatus here & in the craftroom, but I promise I'll be back (and hopefully so will my mojo!) in August!

Here's my card for the Birthday Celebrations, I used some of our recently released stamp sets for it. As a surprise to Mudra owner, Varshitha, all of our designers are sharing happy birthday cards today :o)

1. I coloured and fussy cut one of the cute ostriches, and did the same for the balloon

2. To make the front panel, I first die cut it with Mama Elephant dies, and then coloured the background using Distress Inks. For additional interest, I spritzed the background with some water mixed with Ranger's Perfect Pearls

3. I put the panel together on top of a top folding card base, and then adhered the ostrich & the balloon (for additional dimension, the balloon is popped up on some foam tape)

4. I stamped the string, making sure that one part of it appears to be coming out of the ostrich's wing, and I also hand drew a little bit of the string around the end of the balloon, for a more realistic look

5. The "happy" part of my sentiment was stamped directly onto my card panel, and the "birthday" was stamped on a scrap piece of paper, fussy cut, and mounted on the front panel with some foam tape

6. To decorate the card, I used a shimmer pen on the balloon, and added a few embellishments made with Ranger Enamel Accents in complimentary colours

It's all about butterflies - Mudra CT projects intro

Hi Everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day with Mudra

Hi Everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day! Are you celebrating? Hubby and I used to celebrate with a nice dinner out, or an outing to the cinema (but rarely on the 14th itself, usually around the weekend before of after)... Well, that has changed since the baby came, especially that currently we have no family available here in Helsinki to babysit... ;o) We also tend to get a joint gift for ourselves - something we both want but want to find a "reason" to purchase it, like a fancier coffee machine, etc... This year - we found we have everything we need, and so we're just gonna celebrate at home, together, the three of us. I might or might not have a heart shaped pizza in the oven, however ;o) 

Since the occasion is fitting, today I can share with you the fourth and final card I made for my debut post over at Mudra. The current challenge over at the Mudra blog is LOVE - so this was the theme of my final creation. I think it turned out quite nice.
