It's a girl with Altenew Baby Balloon

Hi Everyone,

Well, who would have thought that I would be back here that quickly? :o) My little Baby Girl is so good for her Mama, and she has a nice long nap at least once a day, so I actually find some time for crafting every now and again! Isn't she just the best?! I hope she keeps it up for a while LOL!

Today's card was a quick make - I have befriended another pregnant lady towards the end of my pregnancy with Hanna, and we're due to meet for the first time with the babies "out"in a day or two, so I thought that it would be nice to have something little for her and her new Bundle. 

To my surprise, I reached for the Altenew "Baby Balloon" set to make the card, as opposed to my go to cutesy images for Welcome Baby cards - I am really glad now that I won this set! And there I was, thinking that I would never use it... 

The background is a watercolour-style wash with Distress Inks mixed with some Prima Metallic Accents. 

It turned out quite nicely, didn't it? Just please - someone remind me next time not to use vellum for my focal image - adhering it to the panel without letting the adhesive be visible was a bit of a struggle! In the end, I opted for a few Nuvo Drops as an embellishment here and there, and I think they saved the day!

Making a card in under 20 minutes

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday! 

Yay, I did manage to make the card I was talking about in my last post. This idea was in my head for a day or two now, and I am quite happy that the card turned out pretty much the way I imagined it - this does not happen very often! 

Ideally, I would have put some thin glittery trim around the edges of the sponged part of the panel, but since the card was made for the "make a card in max 20 minutes" challenge, I didn't want to risk it and "waste" too much time, LOL.

I am proud to say, however, that not only did I manage to finish this card in under 20 minutes, I actually had over 3,5 minutes to spare! I did, however, have everything prepared on my desk for this project, including a pre-scored card base... I hope that wasn't cheating ;o)

And here's the card - very CAS, but I like it!

Making a card in under 20 minutes with MFT

Hello Everyone,

Today, I'm back with my final card for the MFT Creative Olympics challenge. I am really proud of myself for being able to participate in all four challenges, despite guests in the house, the little Baba, and all the life craziness at the moment. Truth be told, I have one more design for the 4th challenge on my mind, and I hope I manage to work on it tomorrow, but should I not be able to - I think I still did quite a decent job with the remaining entries! :o)

This time the design is super simple, as the challenge was to create something in under 20 minutes. As you can see from the photo below, I only had seconds to spare! This might not be my cleanest design ever, but hey - there was not enough time for exact precision! All in all, for such a quick card, I think it's quite nice - even my Hubby was impressed that I managed to create something in such a short time :o)
