A wedding card with The Greeting Farm

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're keeping well (and warm!). We already have LOADS of snow here in Helsinki, the winter struggle is real! Let's see how long it's going to last now...

Today I am sharing with you a wedding card I made with a fantastic image by The Greeting Farm - Caketopper kiss. I believe this is only available as a digital image now, it took me forever to find a rubber version through destashes - it was definitely worth the search, however! It's one of the cutest wedding couple images ever! :o)

I went for a rather simple design, some nice soft colours and loads of sparkle. The sentiment was coloured with a Stardust Gel Pen, and I used the die cut inlay technique in order to place it on the front panel - let me tell you, my new Pick Me Up tool came really handy here!

You can't really see it in the pictures, but the whole front panel has been sprinkled with water mixed with Perfect Pearls, so it all shimmers - I love it! Makes the little scene really magical - and that's what weddings are all about, right? :o)

I hope you like the card. I went a little crazy with photo arrangements, etc, and then couldn't decide on which pictures I wanted to use, so I am sharing most of them, LOL. Which one is your favourite?

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Shine bright like a diamond
Moving Alont With The Times - Diecut letters or numbers

Have a great week,

Mirella

Stretching your stamps ft. The Greeting Farm and Concord & 9th

Hi Everyone,

To those of you who celebrated it - hope you had a great Halloween!

Today I am sharing a spinning/spinner card with you (my first one!), with the use of the gorgeous fairies from The Greeting Farm that I won during summer, and some sentiments from Concord & 9th.

In order to achieve the end result I had in my mind, I had to alter my stamps a little bit - you can see & hear all about it in my YouTube video - I thought it would be easier to explain all the details that way.

And here are some photos of my card - somehow, the front panel looks really bendy, and the fairy is nowhere near as cute as she is in person, but I guess we're just entering the dreadful time of poor natural light and crappy photos again, haha!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
The Greeting Farm - Fall Colours
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything goes

Have a great week,

Mirella

Birthday Boy with The Greeting Farm

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday! We're having a long weekend ahead of us in Ireland, with a bank holiday on Monday, so I'm looking forward to some nice family time. We have quite a few plans for this weekend, so here's to hoping that most of them will happen!

I'm sharing a birthday card for a boy with you today - not something I excel at, but I do try my best! :o)

The birthday boy in question is someone who loves quirky facts and at the same time has an excellent memory, and he's one of those people who could just recite a weird fact about a random person, place or situation. If the fact contains statistics or numbers, it's even better!

Due to this unusual fascination, I decided to focus my birthday card around birthday related facts. I also used a cute boy image from The Greeting Farm (whose clothes I paper pieced & even glittered up a little - boys deserve some sparkle too!). Otherwise, I kept the card pretty simple.

I am entering the card into the following challenges:

The birthday boy was delighted with his card, and funnily enough he didn't know any of these facts - so now he has some new tricks up his sleeve. It's a win-win! ;o)

Have an amazing weekend,

M.

Finally back! :-)

Hi Everyone,

I am finally back! It took me a few weeks to unpack the craftroom, but I am now 95% done and ready to go again! Unfortunately, I have to share my room with the hubby now, as the nursery took over my husband's den, but we'll hopefully manage, LOL! Not 100% happy with how crammed everything is now, but hey - one has to compromise! I guess I was just very spoiled with the room all to myself! Here's to hoping we'll get a bigger house in a few years and I'll get some of my old space back... :o)

Today I am sharing a Father's Day card with you. Yes, it's that time of the year again! It's a little easel card, I hope the recipient likes it. I paper pieced this cute image from The Greeting Farm (love colouring and paper piecing these, it's so much fun!), added a little bit of Wink of Stella here and there (at the end of the day it's a masculine card, so not too much space for glitter!), and hey presto - the card was ready in no time! Well, maybe apart from the drying time of those liquid pearls around the card, LOL.

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
QKR Stampede - Father's Day
I Love ProMarkers - Anything goes
Passion for ProMarkers - Masculine
A Gem of a challenge - Something blue

Hope you like it. Happy Father's Day in advance to all the Daddies out there!

Hugs,
M.

Easel card for Dad

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year! Yup, I know, I know - it's a bit late for that now (it's almost February, at the end of the day!), but I guess better late than never? I owe you all a huge apology for my recent silence here - but, between the Christmas break and a lot of new year-related commotions (some good and some not so good ones) - there really was not enough time for being crafty or even for blogging... I am trying to get back on track now... The days should be getting longer, so I am sure that will help! Here's to hoping I'll be back here for good now! :o) I have recently had a few commission requests, and the mojo appears to be back, so I think I can keep the positive approach for now!

Today I would like to share a card I made for my Dad - a little cutesy easel card. Kind of Valentine-like (the image by The Greeting Farm is actually from a Valentine's set!), so I thought it would be quite apt for this time of the year! I planned to keep it "male & simple" - didn't succeed too much as you can see from the pearls, lace, glitter and some involvement of Glossy Accents, but my Dad loved it - he said my cards for him were always quite plain and he enjoyed a bit of a "busy" difference this time!

Have a peek, hope you'll like it, too! I enjoy using stamps that were designed for a particular occasion for a different purpose - who would have thought that a Valentine image will be good for Dad?! ;o)

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Inky Impressions  - Glitter and Gloss
I Love ProMarkers - Purples and Blues
(I have Lace, Pearl & the blue/pink combo with some bling and glitter)
QKR stampede - Shaped Cards

Hope your start of the year was great - I have some catching up to do on reading your blogs, too, dear friends! I'll work on all this, promise!

M.
