Hi Everyone,
When you look out the window, do you see spring yet?! I still don't see too much of it in Helsinki, but I can definitely feel and smell it in the air! And no, it's not wishful thinking, this time I think it's for real! The sun is shining, the temperatures are becoming a bit easier on the skin, and... I don't know, it just feels like spring is really finally coming! YAY!
I have been in a spring-like mood for a while now, all thanks to card making - I've been trying to focus on happy floral images and colours! Don't you just love this hobby? :o)
In the last few days, I have been playing with a set of Spectrum Noir sparkle pens that I got from a crafty friend quite a while ago. I am so glad I finally gave them a go - the results are truly wonderful! To start with, I have created quite a few flowers from the SSS Spring Flowers stampset (I heat embossed the images in white on a kraft-like cardstock, coloured them with the sparkle pens & fussy cut them), and now whenever I have a short while, I am trying to put together a card with the images.
Below are my first two attempts. I hope you like them. I had the idea of turning these flowers into butterflies since I bought this set (which is when it was first released ages ago!), but I only finally did it now! And let's just say you might see a few more of these soon...
And now the butterflies out of flowers - I love them so much!
By the way, isn't the shimmer from the pens just amazing?!
I am entering these into the following challenges:
Have a great week,
Mirella
