This post is part of the fun #spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop, and our aim is to inspire you to make and send cards to others, so you can make them smile. Perfect for our current pandemic situation, isn't it? Our hobby is truly our little superpower now - imagine the joy our happy mail can bring to someone's day?
I know that there are a lot of stops along this hop, so I won't bore you with too many details about my card - I'll just give you a general idea of how I made it. This little guy by Trinity Stamps is recently my new obsession, and paired with another product I really like - Catherine Pooler inks - it made a fabulous card for a crafty friend. Does this little dirty bunny simply not make you smile straight away?
The background was created with a new product from Trinity Stamps - a SLIMLINE Space Swirl stencil. The colour combo was inspired by two of my favourite Catherine Pooler ink colours - I tried to have these shades in mind, when choosing Copics for colouring my images. I also added some teal for a bit of contrast, and I think this was the right decision, don't you?
There was A LOT of fussy cutting for this card, as the supplies that the bunny is having fun with all come from the Crafter's Heart stamp set. I also had to cut out the bunny himself, as I don't have the coordinating dies for him... But, truth be told, I didn't mind - fussy cutting relaxes me!
Have you noticed the little "no cleaning" sign on the Bunny's cup which holds his tools? I thought it would go perfectly well with the sentiment on the card, and I still giggle every time I look at it! :o)
Apart from these fabulous, rich colours of the background, the card also has a lot of sparkle - thanks to the splatters I made with the metallic paints. I think they add a lot to the whole design, as they also go really well with the overall "messy" message ;o)
There's also some shimmer and shine - on the heart on the card the Bunny made, and on his little nose. It's all in the details, peeps!
I am super chuffed with how this card turned out, and although it took a long while to make it, mostly due to the fussy cutting, I believe that it was totally worth it! Now I just need to force myself to part with it, LOL!
